WALTHAM, Mass., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- MindEdge, Inc., the leading provider of online courses to the higher education market, today announced the publication of Leadership: How to Lead, How to Live by Harvard Business School professor D. Quinn Mills, a book which offers practical guidelines for mastering leadership and maintaining work-life balance throughout a leader's career.

Published by MindEdge Press, the 330-page book can also be enhanced by employing the companion MindEdge online course, "Aspects of Leadership." The course expands on the book's major themes and provides interactive exercises, additional readings, and tools for leadership self-assessment and self- examination. MindEdge is offering "Aspects of Leadership" to partner institutions of higher learning who can provide the course to students in a university or organizational setting.

"The Leadership book and online course are the first of a series of innovative, non-traditional texts being developed to provide greater value to the student and institution," said Paul Robershotte, President and CEO of MindEdge. "MindEdge Press has been created to offer high-quality, very readable texts targeted specifically to the adult learner market. These texts truly advance the education process for the student."

Leadership: How to Lead, How to Live offers real world examples of how leaders inspire, motivate and influence others. At the same time, the book recognizes that there is more to the challenge of leadership today and outlines techniques to reconcile work and family to help develop better leaders. As Professor Mills notes: "Leadership is an important component of our lives; it is not, however, the only thing in our lives, nor for many of us, the most important thing. Each of us must define and pursue his or her own path to personal fulfillment."
